I do not believe the recent ruling is going to stop the pro-life forces from trying their best to overthrow the landmark Roe decision. They will continue onward in their plight to put their chosen people into elected or appointed offices, as will the pro-choice forces. Each will remain beside themselves until they get what they want and secure it for the future.
The pro-life forces were content with Bush because he agreed with their position on abortion. They're now insecure because Clinton is prepared to remove the gag rule put into place by Bush. It is known Clinton is pro-choice where Bush was pro-life.
Is this the kind of change the people of America were seeking by electing Clinton? We'll have to wait and see!
The entire populace is being enlisted by the pro-choice and pro-life forces. Each camp has their personal view and isn't afraid to announce to the populace their sacred position. Many have taken sides with one camp and are against the other camp. Some, I suppose, have not decided and will not for some time. Where you stand and where I stand may oppose each other. On the other hand, we may agree. Regardless of where we stand on abortion, it is apparent to the wise that it is unwise for the President or Presi dent-elect to get involved with manipulating what only the Supreme Court has the legal right to do.
I do not believe any U.S. President can afford the luxury of favoring one side of an issue over another. He has been elected to be the President of the United States of America. He should remain neutral upon such topics. An American President is elected to represent the entirety of American people. He is to do what is upright for all the people and not just those who agree with his personal views. His job is to uphold the executive business of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights that was established fo r the blessing (empowerment) and well being (prosperity) of the American people.
It is the personal responsibility of the President to work with and not against the Judicial branch of government. He has the duty of office to uphold the decisions of the justices of the U.S. Supreme Court. If he cannot agree with the decisions of the Judicial branch he should either keep personal opinions to himself, making certain he doesn't allow them to interfere with his duty, or refuse to be sworn into office. He shouldn't put his nose where it does not belong. The Office of President is greater than the man who is playing the role. Presidents come and go but the Presidency is maintained by Constitutional law.
The framers of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights took into account the need for separations of power. They divided the State power structure into three (3) branches, the executive, legislative and judicial bodies. It is the place of the Supreme Court and not the Presidency to settle arguments among the populace.
The President and/or President-elect hasn't the privilege of starting arguments for the Supreme Court to settle. As Chief Executive Officer he is supposed to execute words and deeds only supporting the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. His personal views are irrelevant and not part of his duty. Separations of powers are vitally important if we are to live in a land where the rule of law keeps the people at civil liberty. A President with a civil tongue will help unite a people while a President without a civil tongue will help divide and conquer.
We tend to forget the truth regarding the establishment of the Republic of America. This great land was settled by great people who knew it was proper to put into place the rule of law (U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights) as national monarchy so that the law would be king rather than any individual the law. If the people were to have a Voice then the voice of the people would have to be documented and preserved for every generation to see and adhere unto.
The framers of the U.S. Constitution were very aware of "man's inhumanity unto man." They knew the barons of England had written the Magna Carta with the intent of subjecting the king to respect the document as law. If they were to maintain civil liberty in America they would have to design a similar document to prevent the enslavement of the population. Starting with the documentation of the Declaration of Independence they began to realize that the Creator of the heavens and the earth had endowed every in dividual with the inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
The President, U.S. Congress and Justices of the Supreme Court swear to uphold the tenets of the sacred documents representing the paper wall standing between tyranny and freedom. It bothers me that the President (or President-elect) is willing to put himself in such a position to try to do the job of the Supreme Court, as much as it bothers me that the Congress will often try to interfere with the duties of the President.
The subject of abortion is causing a division among the people. We allow ourselves to get so caught up with women's rights, men's rights, children's rights and so on that we forget the purpose of the Bill of Rights.
There are no rights for a people divided against themselves and each other. People will always be at odds as long as there isn't unity. The purpose of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights was, is and remains the tool to unify people of all races, colors, creeds and national origin. There are only rights for a united people. United we stand and divided we fall. The United States by definition is stating that Americans are united under the rule of law as dictated by the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Right s. The color of skin, national origin and sexual gender aren't considered when it comes to Constitutional law. At least, I might add, as it was written and intended to be spirited by the framers.
Wherever the people are divided (for any reason) there will be two (or more) camps ready for war with the intent to battle the forces considered good and evil. Each goes against the other without seeing the merit of the other's view. Just as there are two sides of a coin, there are two sides of an issue. The pro-choice force believes it is evil for the government to interfere with the free will of the woman to choose for herself. The pro-life force believes it is good for the government to intervene to prot ect the life of the unborn; and, to some extent feel the woman is incapable of making a sane decision because of the trying circumstances in which she finds herself.
The Declaration of Independence states man (woman) is endowed by his (her) Creator with certain inalienable rights of which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Just as there is separation of powers to try to make the U.S. Constitution work for the people there is, at least in theory, a separation of power between the Church and State for purposes of religious liberty.
The State isn't supposed to get into the business of the Church and the Church isn't supposed to get into the business of the State. This sounds good in theory but not in practical application. Church officials often get involved with the politics of the State and politicians often get involved with business of the Church.
The Moral majority was formed by Rev. Jerry Falwell to ensure the election of politicians who agreed with his coalition. The State gets involved with Church matters, such as marriage licenses and marriage ceremonies. In fact, the State requires the churches to incorporate and fill out legal documents supplied by the State for recognition. So, like it or not, there is an overlap between Church and State. The same is true for the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of the State. Often they try to inf luence and subvert each other.
The President will try to appoint justices to the Supreme Court who agree with his ideology. It is known Bush has a psychic bent towards pro-life. Consequently, he did his best to appoint justices who would vote against abortion. His personal aim was to overthrow the Roe decision. Clinton, on the other hand, is pro-choice. His psychic bent happens to be in the opposite direction. He will choose justices decidedly in favor of abortion. These men believe it is perfectly okay to exercise the power of their off ice to manipulate matters belonging to legislative and judicial branches. It is an unconscionable act on the part of any President to try to jury rig' the other branches of government. Such an act wouldn't be called seditious by the political parties. It would be called politics as usual'. In truth, it is disrespect for the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. Spiritually speaking, it is playing god.
If the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights were read in a clear minded manner it would be obvious that life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness were the goals of the framers for every American citizen. Whether the powers that be' truly understand this fact or not is beyond me. I would like to believe they can read the words of the sacred documents and glean for themselves the spirit of the message.
According to these sacred documents the State has limited powers in relationship to the American people. In other words, the American people are the governors and not the government bureaucrats. The State hasn't any business getting involved with moral matters. Why? It is the business of the Church, and the Church resides within the soul memory of man and is not built with human hands. The State is not qualified in deciding moral issues. The State should practice what it preaches regarding separation betwee n Church and State. Abortion is a moral issue. In fact, marriage is a moral issue, divorce is a moral issue and salvation is a moral issue.
The State can legalize but not moralize without dire consequences.
Trying to make abortion illegal is like trying to stop people from killing themselves.
Suicide is considered illegal but the dead man doesn't show up in the courts of the earth to pay the fine.
The State needs to realize it can legalize the visible world within justifiable reason but not the invisible world. As Holy Writ does declare, "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and render unto God what is God's." Caesar is the flesh man who foolishly thinks he can rule another man and save himself the embarrassment of remaining forever stupid. It is when the Spirit of God is conjoined with the soul memory of man that the heart of compassion is born and the unborn do not suffer the disgrace of forgetting their rightful place to remain in love with the God of their heart who is the Ruler of their spirit. The Church of the Living God resides within the soul memory of the human being. It is within us to know the truth and the truth will set us into the freedom of making sane choices for the exclusive purpose of the prosperity of well being. Holy Writ does declare: "Talk to me in secret and I will reward you openly."
I believe the abortion issue can be settled by the individual concerned. It might not be the way of the Supreme Court but it is the way of the Supreme Being. If the individual cannot "get their own answer" they should seek the kind of spiritual training where they are taught how to enter within until the solution to the problem is realized. Once they are taught to enter within, learning to purge from themselves the psychic influences of others who are telling them to do this or that, they will be better qu alified in doing what they know needs to be done for the highest good of themselves in relationship to the God of their heart. I believe this is the moral thing to do. Telling another to do otherwise isn't caring about the welfare of the individual. It is taking advantage of the unsuspecting soul who doesn't realize they know more about themselves and what they should or shouldn't do than anyone else upon earth.
I believe in human rights. Human rights, however, are valid only when the Spiritual Rights of the Supreme Being are respected. The State is not the Master of man. Man is the master of his ego when he refuses to allow his egotism to master him. The ego will master him whenever he begins to believe he is a power unto himself with the right to subjugate another human being. The least we can do, in times of need, is to respect the One who gave us life before we dare try to stop the life of another from entering this earth plane. If we will take the time to do that we'll be better off regardless of what we do. It is the ultimate experience of love to be in agreement with the Source of your life.
One final reminder regarding abortion: If the spark of life was in agreement to enter the womb, it is well known by the divine providence it has embodied for all practical purposes. It does exist and cannot ever not exist from that point onward. Whether the fetus is aborted or not the spirit began to build a home in the flesh. The spirit may have been prevented from entering the earth for upbringing by the insane means of mankind. However, it is not refused from entering the heavens where the former people of the earth, now spirit people, raise the infant until he (she) become an adult.
The heavens will always ensure that the children of life sent to earth will not suffer forever at the hands of earth bound men and women who have learned to disrespect the sacred ways of the Divine Providence which is intutively guiding all. Infants, babes and children immediately enter the spiritual plane whether they die in the womb or within the first two years of earth life. Those who suffer needlessly are the ignorant earth people who took matters into their own hands and refused to allow the powers of the Divine Providence to intutively guide them into the upright manner of raising the embodied spark of life.
Enjoy the growth period!
