Clinton Breaks His Promise

When are the American people going to learn that they are being deceived by many of their elected officials?

Clinton capitalized on the fact that Bush broke his campaign promise by raising taxes. He has done the same thing, broken his promises, but many times over. Politically speaking, there's nothing special about Clinton. He's not like John F. Kennedy or Thomas Jefferson with whom he identifies. He's not convicted. He's just a run-of-the-mill politician who learned well that the American people are just as easily hypnotized (temporarily) behind their leaders as the people of Germany were duped by Adolph Hitler. If there is a difference, it is that our leaders are sophisticated in their approach. They first condition us by progressively educating us to believe in their madness. Then, they devise "buzz words" to spew forth as rhetoric to get our goat so we'll gladly eat any old tin can they drop upon us.

Clinton knew damn well the day after he made campaign promises that he could never keep them. Blind people elect individuals who are blinded by ambition. This male is a perfect example of how anyone can become President, should they be able to tell a convincing lie, starting with lying to themselves, so that the people can hypnotize themselves into believing it. In other words, all you have to do is set the people up to idolize you. Chances are they will, behind your skill of self deception. "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then there is a good chance it is a duck." Rhetoric is a duck.

Clinton quacked all the way down the campaign trail and ended up in the White House because of his unprincipled quacking in front of the American people. He sold and they bought into the tale, and all has come to naught as it ought to for learning purposes.

Clinton didn't run for the Presidency to help prosper the American people. Hell no! He ran for the Presidency because at an early age he got caught up in idolizing John F. Kennedy. In short, he got stuck on a mental image picture of what a President should look like rather than be. His eyes deceived his mind. He learned to be "politically correct" rather than morally upright. He imitated then and he hesitates now to go forth in backing his own word when he's faced with the truth that his own democratic cong ress will not commit political suicide to please him.

Making a campaign promise to the gays and then breaking that promise is foolish. Just like the middle class began to awaken from the hypnotic slumber after he broke his promise to them, the gays will begin to awaken from the spell put upon them by Clinton, now that he has refused to lift the ban. The "don't ask, don't tell and don't pursue policy" is a joke that Clinton has played on the gay community. He said that he made a compromise by agreeing with the proposed policy. He's not a very smart guy. Where a re his "honest to God" principles?

If Clinton truly believed in lifting the ban, he would have done so regardless of what Congress chose to do. His deed may not have been seen by his colleagues as the "politically correct" thing to do, but he would have demonstrated that he was a man of his word. He didn't keep his word because he lacks integrity. He isn't being honest with himself, therefore, he is incapable of being honest with the communities of the American people. His concept of love for his God, his Country and his fellow human beings needs psychological maturing and emotional healing. His word cannot be his bond because his love for politics is greater than his love to be a statesman like Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Paine or Patrick Henry. In fact, Harry Truman for that matter.

You cannot love all until you love the truth above all.

Clinton knew six months ago, when he started to lift the ban, that the Joint Chiefs and Congress weren't going to go for it. This is why he chose to wait until Congress held the hearings. He was stalling with the false hope and prayer that something could be done so that it would appear he had kept his promise to the gay community. After all, the election of 1996 is only a couple of years away, right? He's still campaigning. He now says that the compromise is an advancement for the gay community. Does he re ally think that being gay and stupid are synonymous?

Where Clinton is unclear in his stand, the Joint Chiefs and Congress are clearly decided that they prefer the gay community mind its own business and leave matters of the military to their governmental authority.

How Clinton ever thought he had the Presidential power to usurp Congressional power is beyond me. Only a small percentage of the American people are gay. The Congressional representatives know damn well that a larger portion of their constituency is heterosexual. Unless the heterosexual community was in sympathy with the plight of the gay community, such a notion to lift the ban was madness. In theory, the majority rules even though we know that the minority known as Congress is in charge of legislating law. The majority of Congress is heterosexual and not homosexual and are not in sympathy with the plight of the gay community.

Senator Sam Nunn of Georgia is living proof of the power of the Armed Services Committee. He is chairman of the leadership against the idea of gays serving in the military. He is not alone in his assessment that the gays should not have the right to join. This is why he is adamant regarding the fact that civilian rights are basically forfeited when entering the services because the whole purpose of the armed forces is to protect the country. He is constantly bringing up the issue of cohesion. He is not alon e.

Many members of Congress feel that gay men and women will disrupt the solidarity needed in the military to win a war. The argument made that certain members of the gay community have served with distinction doesn't persuade the Joint Chiefs or Congress to change their mind regarding the question of cohesion.

All the Joint Chiefs are in agreement that "open homosexuality" is not compatible with military service. Obviously, Sam Nunn is elated with their conviction because he feels the same way, as does the majority of Congress.

I am certain the Joints Chiefs and Congress made it clear to Clinton early on that they were not open to members of the gay community entering the service. But because the campaign promise was given by Clinton they would hold hearings to see if they could find a way to make it clear once and for all that they were not going to allow homosexual conduct on any level whatsoever to take place in the military that could possibly bring ruination to their belief on how the service should be governed. They weren't going to take a chance that homosexual acts were going to take place between two or more gay individuals or between heterosexual and homosexual individuals during times of peace or war.

As far as the Joint Chiefs and Congress are concerned, and feeling that they have the backing of not only the American people but the Judicial branch of the government, whosoever joins the military must have such a dominant spirit that he or she is willing to put their life on the line for the other members engaged in wartime activities. In other words, they are looking at the spirit of what they feel the Company Commander needs for cohesion rather than the sexual desires of the individual. So, with this in mind, taking to heart the fact that there have been men and women who have served with distinction, their conscience guided them into the decision to allow gays to join the military as long as they are not open about their status. Simply put, gays can secretly enlist if being a soldier, sailor or airman is greater than their need to openly expose their sexual orientation.

Nothing truly has changed in the new policy save the fact that the gays haven't a need to lie, as long as the military doesn't ask and gays don't tell, then all will be fine as far as the Joint Chiefs and Congress are concerned. Secretary Les Aspin has openly stated in the hearings that he suggested gay men and women choose a career other than the military. Why would he do that unless he knew very well it would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, for a gay man or woman to remain happy in serving thei r country unless they voluntarily chose to be asexual?

As it stands right now, Clinton has done nothing to advance the cause of the gay community even though he has tried to make it look that way. He did not make a compromise. After his announcement, he retreated to the Oval Office only to reflect upon the damage his unharnessed tongue has done to his political career.

The lawyers of the Justice Department feel that the wording of the new policy will stand the test of time because they feel the Justices are in sympathy with the need of the military to have a standing force which is in harmony with its place and purpose. Many members of Congress, however, disagree with the determination of the Justice Department. They feel the new policy is vague. In fact, they feel the policy will be in litigation for quite awhile. The Secretary of Defense and Joint Chiefs will eventually return to Congress with an updated version that is perfectly clear. Meanwhile, the gay community is arming itself with troops of lawyers and Senator Sam Nunn is doing what he can to codify the policy into law.

So who won? It looks like Clinton was on the side of the gay community because he needed their votes. Things have changed since the election. It now looks like he has taken the side of the Joints Chiefs and Congress because his other policies would suffer greatly if he didn't submit to their will in this matter. Call it waffling or flipping and flopping. Whatever you call it - it doesn't matter. Clinton hasn't the foggiest idea how important it is to keep his word, at all costs.

It would have been best if the Supreme Court decided the gay issue rather than Clinton fight a decided Congress. His efforts backfired because he tried to look good in the eyes of the gay community rather than let the Supreme Court do its job. The issue will now certainly go before the Justices where it should have gone in the first place.

What bothers me in all of this posturing on both sides is the fact that sexuality seems much more important than spirituality. Sexuality is corporeal. Sexuality is of the flesh. Spirituality is incorporeal and of the spirit. Things of the flesh seem to outweigh things of the spirit. It should be the other way around, if for no other reason than it makes common sense. Sexuality does have its proper place and purpose within the framework of this earthly planet. It is the procreative urge within humanity. There is another urge not being paid attention to by most people who have dire need to awaken to a higher level of consciousness. It is called the co-creative urge of the human being. It is the urge of the soul to awaken to the identity of the human being as a spirit rather than being a homo sapien with raging hormones.

We are more than what others think we are. We are that which is capable of thinking what we will, and will what we think to be so, for as long as we think so. When we think differently, we are different because of our thinking. We can think that we are a homo sapien with raging hormones or realize we are not by recognizing we are human beings which are just two different words for spiritual beings that are the embodied light of the Universal Logos. Sexual identity isn't what makes the human being a person.

A person is the presence of life.

A person of life is a spiritual being that we have come to call human.

A humanoid is a manlike animal called a homo sapien, while a human being is the animation of spirit which identifies with itself as the light of the indwelling life force. Take away the life force and the sexual status is meaningless. It resides in the grave with the corpse.

That which survives the grave doesn't care about homosexuality, heterosexuality or bisexuality. It has "passed on" to greater heights of awareness than the urges of the flesh. It hasn't any procreative desires for it lives in a higher earth plane. It doesn't see itself as a physical body but a mental body called spirit. It recognizes it was a spirit before it thought of itself as a body personality. So, if in the end, sexuality means nothing to the spiritual being, except to those that have become earth bou nd, then why not now make spirituality truly important and let the sexuality of the body be where it is, for it is what it is, a procreative urge in or out of control.

That which we call "privates" are not called "privates" for nothing. What is considered "privates" are "pubic" and need not be flaunted in front of the public for purposes of making some political statement. Some may think otherwise but they are other than wise. Few will get the message and many will condemn what they don't understand rather than condone what they disagree with.

The proper education will bring out the truth for all to notice should they take an interest in learning. If not, well not, for they couldn't help but get in the way to begin with. Some say that homosexuality is genetic and part of the birth. If so, then why not leave it with the birth of the body, for it will mean little, if anything at all, in the rebirth of the spirit where the true identity of the spiritual being is realized for self discovery.

Where is the pleasure in trying to hold on to what eventually ends? This is true for those who profess heterosexuality as well as bisexuality. Sexuality isn't where identity is found for Christ sake. It is found in our spirit when we apply ourselves to a sincere spirituality which is like the desire we often employ when led by our inherent sexuality, except it is greater than the heat of passion. It is a fire of compassion.

Spirituality is practical and has a divine purpose for well being. What is practical is logical, what is logical is factual and what is factual is truthful. It is not spiritual to think like a body of flesh when we are not. Nor, I might add, is it practical when by doing so we are lying to ourselves. It is fact that we are spiritual beings and the truth of the matter is that we need to realize it for the well being of renewal.

Millions upon millions are undergoing an identity crisis. The psychiatrists' offices are packed with people who have emotional problems. It is called living a lie. The lie begins to have life in you when you are thinking in such a way that it is not good for your well being. You can't be well as long as you are lying to yourself. It will make you sick.

Many are sick in love because they are love sick for lack of knowledge regarding the truth about themselves. What makes you sick is that you are believing the lie. You get well by realizing the truth about yourself. Doing so, believe it or not, prevents you from buying into the lie. When you buy into the lie, you fall beneath your station. When you are open to the truth, you will arise to the occasion to take your stand when the reality of common sense helps you apply yourself towards the prosperous lifesty le of being happy, healthy, wealthy and whole in body, mind and soul.

Many people believe many lies because they have yet to come to know better. I hear people talking about sexual fulfillment like such a thing truly exists. The more they try to fulfill themselves, the more they fail themselves miserably and are less of themselves for not realizing it to begin with. Why? There isn't such a thing as sexual fulfillment. There is spiritual fulfillment, but not sexual fulfillment. Fulfillment means to complete something. When something is completed, it is finished, done with, ove r, ended.

Sexuality doesn't fulfill you, it depletes you. It drains, it doesn't fill. Sexuality isn't supposed to fulfill. It is supposed to drain so that you will be more of yourself after the fact. It is your spirituality that regenerates your body with the renewed presence of yourself. Sexuality is great when you have a need to mate but spirituality is better when you have a need to arise in consciousness to realize what you are doing, why are you doing it and where is it going to get you.

Humanity will never enjoy human rights upon this planet until it begins to awaken to the truth that we are spiritual beings who have need to identify with the spirituality of the Universal Logos rather than with the sexuality of Mother earth. She may be a great gal but she will give us hell should we not arise in consciousness and respect her husband, the Universal Logos, as our Paternal Father. She will let us do ourselves six feet under when we choose to remain her underling (servant) beyond the age of 18 years. She demands we make emotional separations from her and cojoin with her husband as the Children of Light who have a perfect conceptual understanding of how the life force works upon the planet.

Pure logic comes from the purified reasoning of the Paternal Logos and not the Maternal Earth. All that is earthly is earthly and craves for things of the earth - which is eventual death. All that is heavenly is heavenly and craves for things of the spirit - which is eternal life.

The milk and milk carton are one although they serve a different purpose. As one is emptied, the other is emptied as well. The spirit and body are one when the living soul is alive as the well being which has awakened to its identity. When the spirit leaves the body, the body leaves the earth. Each returns in the end to where it came from in the beginning. Spirituality and sexuality exist in two different realms of thought the same as the left and right hand exist on the same body but in two different places. They can work together but each does the job exactly upside down and backwards to the other. When we are sincere in discovering the truth regarding our identity, we enter within ourselves for union. This is very different from the perspective of those who believe they will find fulfillment by means of a sexual union.

Entering the domain of another will make you into the other, unless you realized your true identity before you allowed your body to lead you astray. Those in the wise know that there is a whole world of difference between being in love, making love and falling in love. The first will make you a man or woman, the second will never satisfy you and the third will make you lose your mind unless you own up to the fact that you are a spiritual being and not a body personality. < P> The way of the flesh and spirit are as different as night and day. When we are in a karmic state of mind, we think we are intelligent because we're relating to ourselves as the body personality. This is not a brilliant act on our part. But when we are in a state of grace, we realize we know better than we thought because we've awakened to the truth of insight where wisdom is the crown glory of self respect. We must face the truth that there is a power greater than the intelligence of the flesh which has bee n progressively educated to look brilliant for self glory.
