Getting Smart

By Rev. William H. Duby

Everyone upon this planet is either a problem creator or a problem solver. Only a fool would be a problem creator, especially within a society that professes freedom but practices economic slavery for all but the banking cartels and big business.

Society doesn't like a problem creator. They don't like anyone being a "smart alec". Sooner or later the problem creator has a "run-in"with certain members of the society that have been ordained as authority figures. Whether right or wrong, such members (authoritarians) will make sure they create more problems for the problem creator than he/she ever created for others within the society. After all, they have the law on their side.

And, if you have a hard time believing this truth, take a good look at the prison system of every state within the country. Take a look at the IRS collection system. Take a look at the court calendars where the judge must decide upon business problems between two or more parties.

People are famous for creating problems for themselves and this leads to other people having problems with them. They say, "a man's word is his bond" "a contract is only as good as the two people who signed it."You'd think, that man could trust man. But in fact, he can't, for the simple reason that human nature does not change. So what man does is pretend that he trusts his fellow man. This is the reason for all the signed, sealed and delivered contracts. He makes sure, while pretending to trust, that he gets the collateral. Again, he instinctively knows that human nature doesn't change. In his heart, he may like to trust, but his mind has taught him well. He dare not unless he be labeled a fool for giving a sucker an even break.

Society is the culprit for the way man treats his fellow man. It teaches him to use the law on his behalf rather than on behalf of others. And he wonders why the spirit of the law has been usurped by the letter of the law.

Law was given by the Spirit of Life to benefit the spirit of man. Law is the schoolmaster. The man who uses the law to benefit himself, at the expense of another, is not law abiding but a law breaker, for he doesn't take into account the Common Sense of the Universe in relationship to another, who is, spiritually speaking, considered a brother or sister.

I recognize I am a God fearing businessman who is on a different path than most. My business is to mind my business by following the law of the land that is lawful for myself to remain within the moral standards of the Spirit of Life. As I am obedient to the law of the land, I find that I do so not because the law is going to make me good or perfect. I do so because the law is the rule of where I stand fast within the boundary of learning to be an honest to God citizen of this earth plane. The key word is "learn". I, like many upon this planet, have a need to learn how to learn.

I recognize that the law can be manipulated to serve my own ends. People often misuse the law to circumvent its purpose which is intended to help not hinder another in their efforts of becoming prosperous. Doing such a dastardly deed is evil and at the end of their life they will recognize that it would have been better if they were never born. Misuse of the law is a common trait for many these days. We see this happening throughout the land.

I have said that the law is the schoolmaster. Without law the evil would flourish beyond belief. We need the external law until the internal law within the members of our body, mind and soul complex are in accord with the joys of the Spirit of Life. Without law there would be no code of conduct.

The law of the land is like the conscience of the soul. When the law is misused, the conscience in the soul becomes dulled and fades into the background like a black light. Then, of course, a spaced out condition becomes apparent.

Many people live in a world of self denial. They hide behind the trappings of academia. Eggheads wrapped up in college degrees and business minded people are destroying their soul by chasing the dollar bill rather than sitting down and catching onto the Spirit of Life that defies the ways of the world and the hair brain ideology of stupid men and women who think they have a better idea.

Law is the schoolmaster.

It is designed for us to grow up into the moral conduct of common sense. I said, by design. Of course, in many cases, injustice occurs because those who administer the law are unlawful themselves. Many are the crooks that lock up otherwise honest people.

Take a look at the way Congress operates. Legally speaking, they are the legislative body of government. They are supposed to write the law where a win-win situation is possible for all parties concerned. In other words, prevent anarchy. What do they do? They write the law for the people to live and at the same time they exempt themselves from the law they write. Are they law abiding?

On the surface it looks like it. In truth, how could they be? Writing law that you do not have to abide by is not law abiding, it is law breaking because the intent to circumvent the law negates the true spirit of the law. The law giver must not be above the law but one with the law as a living example that the law is just, for one and for all. The politician favors writing law where he or she is above the people. In other words, it doesn't have to be lived by the one who wrote it.

I have had dreams where the people of the United States were in prison and the crooks were in the government. Upon awakening, I realized I wasn't dreaming but facing reality. And the only reason the people were locked up is that they didn't want to run their own country. So, they hired the crooks to run it for them. But, of course, the crooks weren't called the crooks. They were called politicians, religious leaders, social experts and alike.
